Membership Benefits and Requirements

Objective

ANZBIQ is a non-profit organisation established in Qatar with the aim of promoting Qatari - Australian and Qatari - New Zealand business relations by providing its members the opportunity to network on a regular basis and to liaise with the Australian and New Zealand embassies to develop business opportunities.

• Inclusion in the ANZBIQ Members Directory, and once developed, the ANZBIQ web site.
• Invitations to network with visiting trade delegations and their local guests.
• Significantly reduced prices for ANZBIQ monthly Sundown’s and quarterly Luncheons.
• Access to the ANZBIQ Newsletter and the opportunity to promote your company.

Categories of Membership

1- Individual    *Membership fees QR 500

• Eligibility: Any Australian or New Zealand citizen holding a professional or managerial appointment living and working in the State of Qatar; or any person of Qatari or other nationality holding a senior appointment who lives in the State of Qatar and works for a wholly or partly owned Australian or New Zealand company or a Qatar registered company or business which represent Australian or New Zealand goods and/or services.

2- Corporate    *Membership fees QR 1000

• Eligibility: Any foreign branch of an Australian or New Zealand organization established in Qatar or a Qatari Company in which an Australian or New Zealand individual or entity owns shares, or any corporation, organization, firm or business in Qatar can also apply to be a Corporate member, providing they can show a valid relationship with Australia or New Zealand. The Corporate member has the right to nominate two individuals employed by the Corporate Member.

3- Corporate Associate   *Membership fees QR 500

• Eligibility: Any Corporate Member who wishes to nominate more than 2 members, up to 3 additional members may be allowed at the same fee as Individual Members.

4- Overseas    * Membership fees QR 300

Eligibility: Any person or entity who is not ordinarily resident or established in Qatar and who would otherwise qualify for membership, shall on approval of the Committee of ANZBIQ and payment of the prescribed fee, be entitled to the same rights and privileges of an Individual Member except that they shall have no voting rights. On joining they would be entitled to free entry at their first Sundowner and then able to attend a maximum of five Sundowner’s over a one year period.

All memberships are subject to ANZBIQ committee approval.
